Gastronomy Award from South Korea to Tahir Tekin Oztan

Besides activities for conservation and promotion of world cultural heritage, giving support for promotion of different cultures in Turkey and promotion of Turkish cuisine culture across the world, Chief Tahir Tekin Öztan, President of Association for Research, Development and Protection of Anatolian Cuisine was granted an award by South Korea.

Within the scope of promotion days of natural food products of South Korea held in Istanbul-Gyeongju World Culture Expo 2013 organization, Chief Tahir Tekin Oztan who hosted South Korean Cuisine was granted and award by Korean Foundation For Quality that is the most important instutions in South Korea. Tahir Tekin Oztan hosted South Korean cuisine in Sahan Vega operating in Istanbul Atasehir within the scope of promotion days of natural food products of South Korea held in Istanbul-Gyeongju World Culture Expo 2013 organization and undertook important roles for the determination to similar and different sides of both culture.

Kyung Hoon Cha and Sang Woo Kim came from Korea for the ceremony

Korean Foundation for Quality, one of the most important institutions in South Korea, decided to give an award to Tahir Tekin Oztan for his efforts to promote living cultures and maintain the sustainability and his supports to the promotion of Korean cuisine culture. General Manager of Korean Foundation For Quality Kyung Hoon Cha and Assistant General Manager Sang Woo Kim came to Istanbul to participate in the award ceremony and congratulated Tahir Tekin Oztan. Besides the officials of South Korean Istanbul Consulate General, Istanbul Deputy Governor Kazım Tekin participated in the ceremony. During the award ceremony, a plaque was also given to Istanbul Deputy Governor Kazım Tekin for his supports to the cultural studies in memory of the day.

Promotes our cuisine culture in global arena

Stating that Chief Tahir Tekin Oztan, President of Association for Research, Development and Protection of Anatolian Cuisine, made a ceaseless effort to promote Anatolian Cuisine Culture in national and international arenas, Istanbul Deputy Governor emphasized that such award is not only important for Oztan but also for Turkey and congratulated the Chief Tahir Tekin Oztan. General Manager of Korean Foundation For Quality Kyung Hoon Cha expressed that Turkey-Korea relations are based on a historical process and stated that the efforts of Tahir Tekin Oztan, who entertained them in 2013 and played an important role for the promotion of Korean cuisine culture in Istanbul, to promote Anatolian Cuisine culture at international levels can not be underestimated and they came from South Korea to here to give an award to him for this reason. Chief Tahir Tekin Oztan said that he was very flattered due to this award and said that: ''I once more saw that the efforts don't remain unreturned. I have received hundreds of awards until today, but this means a lot to me, an honorable award for me to motivate me to continue my professional career. Introducing a country and a city in the most beautiful way id through the cuisine of that country. We set forth a great vision, we are trying to introduce Anatolian Cuisine Culture and Gaziantep Cuisine within that culture to the rest of the world. We aim that Turkey gets the sufficient share from world gastronomy tourism. To make contribution for Gaziantep to become a gastronomy city. Today, South Korea gave such an award with a motivation to support us in what we are doing for our targets and objectives with greater enthusiasm. I would like to thank them. I wish friendly relations between two countries develop and cultural exchange between two countries are accelerated. Sahan Restaurants Chain will continue to host the cuisines of world countries. As Association for Research, Development and Protection of Anatolian Cuisine, we will continue our studies more comprehensively to achieve our mission.
